How to Use Coconut Oil
There are tons of ways in which you can use coconut oil to improve your life. From health, to skin, hair, and even cooking, coconut oil is truly a wonder-food! I’ve used it for treating my hair to using it as a lotion, and even as a substitute for normal cooking oil. If you’re looking for ways on how to use coconut oil you’re in luck because in this article I will show you tons of different uses for the truly awesome oil.
Coconut Oil for Hair
First let’s talk about hair because that’s probably the strangest place to use coconut oil, but surprisingly it works great. It improves your hair strength from the inside out by providing valuable nutrients that strengthen your hair as well as provide shine. It conditions your hair deeply and acts as a moisturizer, while getting rid of dandruff! Seriously, if that isn’t enough to warrant using coconut oil in your hair I don’t know what is. Coconut Oil for Skin
Another great use for coconut oil is as a moisturizer for your skin because just as coconut oil moisturizers your hair, it also provides the same benefits to your skin. I think coconut oil is even better than other skin moisturizers because it doesn’t contain any harmful chemicals that can actually dry out and damage your skin. It is 100% natural and that’s what so many people like about it. Among providing moisture to your skin it is also anti-microbial which means that it prevents bacteria and the risk of disease. Coconut oil for your skin is another awesome use for the wonder-food!
Coconut Oil for Cooking
One of the most common uses for coconut oil is actually using it as a substitute for other cooking oils! It’s a perfect ingredient and substitute to have in your home because it’s extremely healthy to cook with and it provides some benefits that other oils don’t. It has an extremely high saturated fat content, which may not sound great, but it actually contains a good type of fat that is good for you. It also doesn’t go bad so you can keep it around your house for quite a long time without it going bad. Cooking with coconut oil provides such benefits as improving your thyroid health, reducing weight gain, and it also reduces the retention of water which can lead to weight loss. If you haven’t started cooking with coconut oil yet, I would recommend it!
So those are just a few of the many uses of coconut oil. I referenced some other articles in this post so you can get more information and details about each use. Feel free to comment on your favorite use of coconut oil!
